​Beginning Photography

​This 12 week course is the first in a continuing series of studies in photography.
The intent is to learn about the camera, how it works inside and out. And how it can work for you to take better pictures faster and more creatively.
​
Studies include:
Working under a variety of Lighting conditions, Depth of Field, Shutter Speeds, correct exposures, basic composition, lenses, metering, and basic flash.

Intermediate Photography ​
​
This 12 week class is all about fine tuning the skills learned in Beginning Photography; and building a working portfolio to showcase your techniques and creativity.
​
Discussions and projects include working with the principles and elements of composition, studying the masters, learning to critique, and finding your own style.
​
Topics covered are color balance, studio set ups, flash, black and white. showing mood, adding interest with techniques and effects, action, low light, nighttime, portraits and still life. Using Lightroom.

Advanced Photography
​
This 6 week class provides an updated source of information about the ever changing field of photography. Students participate in field trips, in-class workshops, and assigned projects.
​​
​The classes are designed for serious amateurs and professionals. They involve in-depth studies into the applications of various techniques using film and/or digital equipment and camera formats. Emphasis is placed on improving technical proficiency through "hands-on" experiences and critique.
​​
​A continuous program of 6 week classes include advanced black and white photography, portraiture, studio lighting, commercial photography, nature, nighttime, photojournalism, outdoor, and closeup photography. ​
